Smells crazy and so boozy in the best way While being a nice and gourmand scent, i do not think it lives up to the hype. One could be excused of being a victim of such consistent and persistent marketing or hype in social media. Especially this flanker, since it´s often compared to it's other two brothers. The opening is sharply synthetic and the cinnamon takes over completly, so much so that it can in fact be nauseating or headache-inducing. After that, the most prominent scent is the vanilla, that jumps quickly to the front although is considered a base note, however, it is a back and forth between the cinnamon and vanilla in the first hour. The strong synthetic notes makes it come off as such, main culprits are the cinnamon and vanilla combo that is common in those candles. Amazing and complex fragrance, but slightly niche for cold weather and certain occasions. Very gourmand very long lasting especially on clothing. I just fell in love with it.

Rich, warm and delicious, just like a hot cup of spicy turkish coffee. At first you really smell the richness of the coffee: very deep coffee scent with caramel and cardamon but not sweet at all. It doesn't change much, but in the middle notes it looses most of the coffeness, the apple pie stays, you get more vanilla and tonka bean which makes it very sweet. Base notes are mostly benzoin and you again can smell the coffee instead of apple pie. I can't imagine wearing it in the summer, but in the colder months you can literally wear it anywhere, just not too much, cause the scent is extremely strong and may be headache inducing. It doesn't really last long, about 6 to 7 hours on me. This smells really lovely, but it disappears so quickly.

All this happens between a tenacious and subtle sweetness, perhaps the praline. And as such in the first two hours, this can in fact be overpowering. Starting that second hour and as the dry down comes to take place, only then you can somewhat see the coffee notes but it is not a protagonist as the name of the fragance might led to believe. And it is the dry down that stops me from disliking this fragance, because the cinnamon and vanilla persist the whole time but they lose (thankfully) their power as time goes by. Please, do yourself a favor and those around you. Maybe just my bottle as everyone else seems to have a good performance but mine is so intimate after 10 minutes Real talk, this perfume is super cloying. It smells alright, but being near someone who wears this for an extended period of time would make you uncomfortable. People that tell you this is the best Lattafa fragrance probably have never bought anything else from Lattafa, because imo this is not even their top 5. I am a woman and I like this, but the coffee isn't too present.

I mean to me it's a christmassy scent because it reminds me of all the spicey sweets and drinks made in winter around Christmas . And I think it's better than original khamra. original khamra to me is too sweet. Too unoriginal and bland.

I mean, I'm picky about fragrances and I'm surprised at how much I love this perfume. The opening is gorgeous with evident spicy (not overly so) notes of CARDAMOM ( a huge love for me), cinnamon, a bit of ginger...perfection really. Soon a very sweet, sugary-caramel-vanilla accord emerges that seamlessly blends with the opening notes.

Dosage recommendations

It has got that boozy praline chocolate opening which smells funny but once the dry down starts it becomes a beautiful vanilla and coffee which for me is very calming reminds me of oud caffe from a Turkish house called loris. This is a less boozy version of jazz club and sweeter version of angel's share. It is a unique fragrance and not blind buy safe. This is not for everyone i can tell you that. i dont get the coffee note and its very sweet, only for winters but it does smell the same as vanilla oud by Beverly hills polo club and i find vanilla oud stronger than qahwa. Maybe cause I make sweets by soaking dates all the time so I am way too familiar with how dates smell. Anyways I like the depth that the coffee gives to this. Man, I am so conflicted on this one. It’s mildly legendary at this point, but when I smell it, the fragrance is either amazing or it’s full-on a grandma perfume. For me, the initial spray and first hour is fantastic. I get absolutely zero coffee as many others have said, but that’s okay. After the first hour and the entire rest of the wear it turns to a disgusting grandma perfume that makes me think of old musky sweaters that someone spilled date and prune juice on. Might be too sweet for some people, but most people love it. It's a little too much to wear as an office fragrance but anywhere else I pour it on. My bottle ran out a few months ago and I decided to try the Dukhan version this time. Dukhan is excellent, a little more masculine and spicy but it's not quite as good as Qahwa. Someone once insulted me while I was wearing it and they said it smells like a Grandma's cologne.
